First impressions

Sugar Rush is Pragmatic’s 2022 cluster-pays follow-up to Sweet Bonanza, and it is the better game by most measures. Same candy theme, same RTP, but the engine is fundamentally smarter: a 7×7 grid where winning positions accumulate sticky multipliers (2x through 128x) that persist across cascades within a single spin, then reset.

Default RTP is 96.5% with a 5,000x cap. Variance is officially “high” though it feels lower in practice — the sticky-multiplier grid means base-game spins frequently produce 5x-10x wins from compounding small clusters.

The base hit-rate drops noticeably. If you like the original Sugar Rush and want a more brutal version of the same idea, the 1000 sequel is worth a session.
